The right place, the right time. We hear it all the time. It’s a commonplace saying that often gets
ignored because it leaves a lot to chance. I try not to use that expression because I don’t
like leaving things to chance.
To be a great photographer you can’t
leave things to chance. Just as any
other applied skill or trade there is a learning curve. When the right moment comes along you hope your
knowledge turns out better than just the right place and right time.
Owen Rose Garden offers a great
variety of flowers every summer and, because of its location and plenty of
shaded areas, attracts a lot of folks on warmer days. I went there today specifically looking for
shots of roses and other flowers. I wasn’t
expecting to see anything as colorful as the dragonfly that came across my
viewfinder, however, I’m very glad I was ready to capture it. Enjoy.
